First Annual Stateline Ruck Walk yielded 800 pounds of goods for food banks

About 30 walked from Kiowa to Hardtner on Stateline Rd with backpack of canned goods

 

Stateline Road was dusty and windy with decent temperatures Saturday morning as about 30 walkers threw their rucksacks/backpacks full of canned goods on their backs and made the 11 mile trip from Kiowa to Hardtner along Stateline Road. There were guys in their camouflage and boots and even a mama pushing her baby in a stroller part of the way.

Organizer Pake McNally is a sergeant with the 364 Engineer Company (Sapper). He said, "We seemed to really have fun. We're proud of ourselves." He admitted they have "sore feet," but said, "it was a great event! I'm glad I did it. It was all worth it....
