Visit with artists and an author during the First Friday Art Walk tonight

Western artist Steve Boaldin is displaying finely detailed oil paintings at Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva this month.

Two Oklahoma City artists with different subjects and techniques are featured at Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva this month. "Art on the Salt Fork" is the theme of the show.

Oklahoma City artist Deborah Burian uses mixed media to capture impressions and scenes. Her work is on display at Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva during June.

Deborah Burian uses various media and sometimes adds fabric or other materials for her impressionistic scenes. Steve Boaldin focuses on cowboys and western life in his large, highly detailed oil paintings. Both artists are expected to be on hand during the First Friday Art Walk tonight from 6 to 8 p.m.

Author Rock Neelly who recently published "Salt Fork Stations" will be available at Graceful Arts to sign copies of his book. Neelly grew up just across the state line in Kansas and his family homesteaded along the Salt Fork River in Woods County. His book is based on his family's history although he says the characters in the book are much more interesting than his family.

A few doors east of the gallery in the Bell Hotel annex, Warren Little will open his Old Man's Gallery to share his drawings, photography and paintings. Both galleries will offer refreshments.
