Man with arrest warrant now has another charge

 


On May 28, off-duty Cherokee Police Sgt. Tristan Hall contacted Cherokee Police Chief Ryan McNeil to report he observed the suspect, Aaron Benshoof, walking south in the alley behind St. Hall’s residence in the 1000 block of South Grand Ave. in Cherokee. Hall stated Benshoof was wearing gray-colored pants and a blue gray colored shirt and carrying a blue backpack.

McNeil and Hall checked the area but were unable to locate Benshoof walking. They went to check an unsecured abandoned building at 100 East 11th St. It is the old hospital building owned by Alfalfa County. Entering the building,...
