Stewart hired as Alva High special ed teacher

Meals no longer free, prices increase

 

Monday evening, the Alva Board of Education offered a one year contract to Maya Stewart as a special education teacher for the high school. Stewart most recently taught special education at South Barber School in Kiowa, Kansas. A graduate of Alva High School and Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Stewart is certified in both Oklahoma and Kansas.

Board members also approved the rehiring of a list of non-certified personnel for the coming school year.
