GEORGIA LEE MARTIN

 

Georgia Lee (Hildebrand) Martin was born on a farm in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma, on January 7, 1922, and departed this life at age 100 years and 4 months. Her early life was spent on a farm claimed by her grandfather Hildebrand during the Cherokee Strip land rush run of 1893. She lived there with her parents Lee and Victoria and her brother Robert. She later grew up near the south Kansas community of Kiowa and graduated from Kiowa High School in 1939. She then attended Northwestern Teachers college in Alva, Oklahoma, for one year.
