Jill Daughhetee kept the beat 44 years before retirement at South Barber

Taught under seven superintendents as band director and librarian

 

"Fun." Jill Daughhetee used that word multiple times during her retirement interview with the Newsgram. Anyone who knows her would agree that Daughhetee made her band concerts fun; her classroom fun for students; and had fun with her co-workers through the years.

Retired Elementary Principal Marcia Cantrell who also taught third grade about 23 years, commented on her co-worker, "Jill was dedicated to music education.
