Alva City Council to vote on next year's budgets

Because of the Juneteenth observance on Monday, the Alva City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall. An executive session is scheduled in the agenda to discuss contract negotiations with the firefighters’ union and the business manager search. When they return to open session, council members may take action on those two items.
There will be discussion on the Homestead Pond Project with Elda Jones speaking, but no action is planned.
There will also be a CIP CDBG (capital improvement planning community development block grant) public hearing....
