The Alva Board of Education approved contracts for two new teachers and a paraprofessional during their meeting Wednesday, June 29. Superintendent Tim Argo said enrollment begins July 11 for fall classes.
Board members present for the meeting were Jane McDermott, Tiffany Slater, Karen Koehn, Larry Parker and Shane Hansen.
The board approved one year contracts for Stine Kristensen and Adam Lloyd. Kristensen will teach kindergarten at Washington Early Childhood Center. Newly graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Kristensen did her practice teaching at Washington. Lloyd comes...
