FGBR fundraiser brings in about $34,000, big crowd

 

"We were rapidly putting up more tables as people kept pouring in, we were starting to run out of food because we didn't expect so many people," Freedom Gates Boys Ranch President Michael Simpson said thankfully.

He was referring to the estimated 215 people who filled the Heritage Center in Medicine Lodge Saturday evening. The sizable crowd came to support the ministry the FGBR offers troubled young boys who seek a better way.

With the donations made and for the auction items sold, Simpson said they raised about $34,000.
