An Alva man is facing a felony charge following a traffic stop. Lance Edward Heaton, 36, of Alva, has been charged with child endangerment by driving under the influence. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to four years and/or a fine of $5,000.

According to court documents, on July 6 about 6 p.m. Woods County Undersheriff Keith Dale was eastbound in the 300 block of Oklahoma Blvd. when he saw a black Chevrolet pickup approaching at rapid speed. When the pickup passed, he was able to read the license plate and immediately ran it through Woods County dispatch.
