Northwestern alumnus chooses to provide access to college

 


The James Erskine Scholarship was established by James Erskine, Northwestern alumnus, to contribute to the growth and thriving atmosphere of Northwestern and Alva. Erskine achieved his college education with the support of several scholarships. In turn, he believes it is important for students from northwest Oklahoma to have access to a university that is close to home and offers an excellent education without the high cost compared to attending a larger university.

Erskine graduated from Northwestern in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and a minor in physics and mathematics...
