Man charged with discharging firearm in a dwelling

 


An Alva man is charged with discharging a firearm in a dwelling and causing officers to respond to his residence for a supposed suicide attempt.

According to court records, on July 5 at 12:49 a.m. Alva Police officers Sean Farris and Caleb McCullough were dispatched to a home in the 1000 block of Choctaw for a man who had reportedly shot himself in the head. They were met outside by Sabrina Sheamire and two other people who had been walking down the street. The two said they heard Sheamire screaming for help.
