The City of Kiowa and a group of private individuals who donated started a "Clean-up Kiowa" initiative last year. You might remember they tore down the old hospital on Drumm Street, and left the lot basically spotless. They are ready to start again to make the community more attractive by demolishing some more dilapidated properties.

City Administrator Sam Demel said the city has some money set aside for the project, but it's certainly not enough to fund everything. "Any donations will help greatly," Demel said.
