A woman from Mutual was injured when her vehicle collided with a semi in Major County Thursday morning. Shirley Bedwell, 81, of Mutual, was transported by Major County EMS to St. Mary’s in Enid where she was admitted in stable condition with arm and leg injuries.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Bedwell was drowsy and her 2020 Ford Edge crossed the center line of OK-8 striking a 2012 Mack semi driven by James Andrew McElfresh, 55, of Enid. McElfresh was transported by Okeene EMS to Bass Hospital in Enid where he was treated and released.
