Handmade little wooden cars zooming down the track set up in a shelter at Progress Park were a main attraction on Sunday afternoon during Kiowa's Labor Day celebration. It was Kiowa's first Pinewood Derby on this leisurely weekend. The race coincided with the popular car show that's in the park on Sunday. An Indian summer day brought pleasant weather, especially in the shade.
