It was a fun, chaotic scene as children and adults alike huddled to see the colorful little rubber ducks sailing down the street on a man-made river. This new Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event was to kick off activities at Progress Park for Kiowa's Labor Day celebration just before the noon bean feed. The first 15 numbered ducks that floated across the finish line won prizes. People had purchased one of the numbered ducks for $10.
