The Woods County Board of Commissioners have several projects in mind to use ARPA funds for county infrastructure. They are getting ready to move forward on those projects and approved a motion indicating they will do so. This was mainly to let the community know they are ready to start bidding out the projects.

Chairman Randy McMurphy, District 2; David Hamil, District 1, and John Smiley, District 3, were all present for the meeting.

The annual contract with AirMedCare was approved for $5,224. This provides emergency medical air transport coverage for all county employees. They asked County Clerk Shelley Reed to request new cards showing coverage since the name of the service has changed.

The following monthly reports were approved:

• County Clerk Collections $27,861.75

• Court Clerk Office Balance $84,286.35

• Court Clerk RM & P Balance $10,609.51

• Election Office Balance $6,362.82

• Health Dept. Collections $0.00

• Sheriff’s Office Collections $2,505.00

• Sheriff’s Board of Prisoners Expenses $5,059.00

• Treasurer’s Office Balance $13,839.68

A couple of the monthly appropriations for July were accidentally missed when others were approved. The commissioners approved the July appropriations for the court clerk and emergency management departments. Then the commissioners voted to approve the August monthly appropriations for all funds.

A transfer of funds from District 2 CBIR to the ETR fund for a payment of $10,000 was approved. McMurphy’s District 2 used a state no-interest ETR loan to pay for road materials and is now making payments on the loan.

The commissioners voted to approve a resolution for participation in Distributors Oklahoma subdivision opioid settlement agreement. This indicates they agree to continue in the lawsuit.

Under new business, Smiley reported he chipped 10 miles of the Aline blacktop and completed the Dacoma road project. The Avard Lake has been stocked with 60,000 fish by the wildlife department. Hamil said District 1 has their new fuel system in place.

The commissioners also approved warrants, claims and blanket purchase orders.
