Mooreland man injured in Alfalfa County wreck

A Mooreland man was injured when his motorcycle rolled near Jet in Alfalfa County. Alan Ross Peacock, 64, of Mooreland, was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted for head, trunk internal, trunk external and arm injuries. He was listed in stable condition.

The wreck occurred on Wednesday about 1:20 p.m. on OK-38 about three miles north of Jet. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Peacock was traveling north on the highway on a 2017 Harley Davidson FLHR motorcycle. He entered a curve at an unsafe speed, departed the roadway to the left and struck an embankment. The motorcycle rolled one time, coming to rest 52 feet northwest of the area of impact in the west ditch.

Captain Kenneth Jordan of the OHP Troop J investigated, assisted by the Alfalfa County Sheriff’s Office, Alfalfa County EMS, Jet Fire Department and Air Evac.
