Lorene Raye Johnson was born March 16, 1928, to Harry B. and Daisy M. Miller. She died September 16, 2022, at the Community Health Center in Wakita. Lorene grew up on the farm with her bother, Howard and sister, Thoran. She attended Gore School and after graduation, attended Wichita Business College. She returned to Wakita, working many years as the office nurse for R.W. Choice, until his retirement. When the Community Health Center opened, she served as the clinic receptionist until the early 1980's.

On August 1, 1948, she married Dean D. Johnson and they made their home northwest of Wakita....
