Vernon Alton, son of Nora Belle (Mayo) and Norbert Elloy Logsdon was born on February 28, 1934 in Clayton, New Mexico. He passed away peacefully at his home in Carmen, Oklahoma, on September 18, 2022, at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 21 days.

Vernon attended school in New Mexico and graduated form Los Lunas High School in New Mexico.
