The Avard Regional Rail Park Authority met earlier this week and had to complete the not-so-fun task of going back through and re-voting on previous agenda items from meetings dating as far back as June last year. That undertaking results from misunderstanding open meeting laws regarding Zoom (teleconference). During the coronavirus pandemic, legislators extended temporary exemptions to the state's Open Meeting Act, allowing public bodies to meet virtually.
