Motorcyclist injured after impact with deer

A Kansas man was injured when his motorcycle hit a deer in Alfalfa County early Thursday morning. Stetson Coy Rhodes, 29, of Goodland, Kansas, was transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in stable condition with head and arm injuries.

The collision occurred at 12:42 a.m. on Thursday approximately five-tenths of a mile north of Hughes Road and 3.5 miles north of Cherokee.

According to the report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Rhodes was northbound on N2610 Rd. and struck a deer. Rhodes was ejected approximately 126 feet from the point of impact.
