Wichita woman charged locally with child endangerment

A woman told police officers she called to report her daughter for possibly being intoxicated while driving with her child in the car. The incident occurred Sept. 24 about 7:45 p.m.

According to court records, Alva Police Officers Caleb McCullough and Kris Franta responded, locating a silver-color Toyota Corolla on College Blvd. as it was just passing Olive Street. McCullough states the vehicle was approaching him at 53 mph in a 35 mph zone as measured by his radar. He activated his lights and initiated a traffic stop.
