Trenton Welty, of the Freedom 4-H Club, placed 2nd in the Intermediate age division out of 83 competitors at the State 4-H Trap Shoot in El Reno, Oklahoma. Trenton actually tied for first place, hitting 48 of 50 rocks but was edged out in a shoot off for the top prize. Sunday was a very windy day, so this was a particularly outstanding accomplishment. Also competing in the Intermediate age division was Jimmie Smith of Freedom and in the Senior Division, representing Alva 4-H, was Nathan Andrews.
