Budy gives presentations on opioid abuse

November 13, 2022

Cherokee FCCLA member Davin Budy shared his awareness of opioid abuse by young adults and teenagers during a presentation at the Cherokee FCCLA November meeting.

Cherokee FCCLA helped carry out Red Ribbon Week for Cherokee Public Schools. This year's assembly was by Gail Box, mother of former OU football player Austin Box, who spoke to the 6th-12th grade students about her son's untimely death due to an accidental overdose.

Davin Budy from the Cherokee FCCLA chapter has been working to bring awareness to opioid abuse by young adults and teenagers. Budy has given two presentations regarding opioid abuse, one at the Cherokee FCCLA November meeting and the other for the fine arts class at Cherokee High School.
