Woods County commissioners learned two Woods County fire departments were approved for REAP grants. The Dacoma Fire Department was granted $55,302.63, and the Waynoka Fire Department will receive $49,373.56 in REAP funding. There were 59 applications submitted for the grants with 47 begin approved before the available money ran out.

The county will be responsible for tracking these REAP funds. A new account will need to be established, but County Clerk Shelley Reed wants to move that to next week’s agenda. She’s not sure of the right number for the account.
