Grow and Share OHCE regular monthly meeting

December 18, 2022

Grow and Share OHCE met for its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on Dec. 13 in the home of Janet Cunningham, who served as hostess. All members brought finger foods to share with the group.

President Cunningham called the meeting to order. A devotion was given by Ruth Welborn detailing the Christmas story with a Bible reference of Luke 1:26-38. Eleven members and two guest answered roll call to: “What are your holiday plans?” Minutes for the November meeting were read and approved and the treasurer's report was given.

Cunningham reported that she had received a grant award notification for the Leadership Development and Citizen Engagement grant. The funds will be used to present the Etiquette First Workshop to middle school and high school 4-H members sometime in February. More details will follow. This grant follows goals of the Cultural Enrichment Committee for Grow and Share and Woods County. Jean reported that she had received an end of the year mailing from the Northwestern Foundation.

Unfinished business included reports on the County Craft Workshop to benefit Northwest Family Services. Cunningham and Welborn attended. Award nominees were reminded to get their information to Cunningham by Jan. 2, 2023, or before.

There was no new business. Secret pal gifts were exchanged and new pals were drawn.

The meeting adjourned to the January regular meeting with the time, date and place to be determined.
