Woman stopped for expired tag facing drug charges

A Cherokee woman is facing several charges in Alfalfa County after being stopped for an expired tag.

Court records show on Dec. 27 about 12:56 p.m. Cherokee Police Sgt. Tristan Hall observed a white RAM pickup traveling east across Grand Avenue on 6th Street. He had previous knowledge the vehicle had expired tags. Getting behind the vehicle, he verified the tags were displayed expired. He ran the tag through dispatch as he activated his police emergency lights to initiate a stop.
