Cathy Voss was born May 4, 1951, in Enid, Oklahoma, to parents, Earl Lee and Deloris McCart and passed from this life on Thursday, January 5, 2023. She grew up on her family's farm near Pond Creek. Cathy and Henry Voss were married in 1973 and became parents of Lindsay in 1980 and Jake in 1984. They made their home in Goltry.

Cathy was a dedicated teacher and spent many years in the classroom beginning at Carrier Junior High in 1973. When Carrier closed, she taught at Chisholm High School until 2004.
