BARBARA ANN BOUZIDEN

Memorial services for Barbara Ann Bouziden will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Katie Hill officiating. There will be a private interment at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Barbara Ann, daughter of the late Autmer Alfred (A.A.) and Pearl (Wright) Gallon, was born April 18, 1934, on the family farm north of Alva, and passed away January 20, 2023, at Alva, at the age of 88 years, 9 months, and 2 days.

Barbara Ann was raised in Alva, graduating from Alva High School in 1952 and went on to attend Northwestern State College. She was united in marriage to Bud Baker in 1953 and they had three children, Bob, Debbie, and Greg. She later married Albert Bouziden on June 8, 1978, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alva. Barbara Ann was always a hard worker and caregiver, caring for her own parents in their later years. She was a caring, thoughtful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and also attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Barbara Ann was instrumental in raising funds to expand the parsonage at the Catholic Church. She was also a member of Delta Zeta, Twentieth Century Club, Household Executives, F.C.E Clubs, United Methodist Women, and the Priscilla Circle.

Besides her parents and her husband, Albert, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Jo (Gallon) Pangburn and Nadine (Gallon) Sternberger; and two infant brothers.

Barbara Ann is survived by her sons, Bob Baker and Mary Benningfield of Alva, Greg Baker and wife, DesiRae, of Alva; her daughter, Debbie Ackerman of Edmond; her stepdaughter, Barbara Frei of Scottsdale, Arizona; six grandchildren, Jodi Overman and husband, Tim, of Goldsby, Jared Ackerman and wife, Rachel, of Edmond, Courtney Barber and husband, Aaron, of Enid, Caleb Baker and friend, Josh Allen, of Fort Worth, Texas, Blake Baker of Oklahoma City, step grandchildren, Cole Wiersig, Hagan Wiersig, and Griffin Wiersig, all of Alva, and Heather Schultz of Scottsdale, Arizona; great grandchildren, Hadley and Corbyn Overman, Emerson, Jett, Hayes, Kellen, and Paige Barber, Grace and Franklin Ackerman; one step great granddaughter, Briana Schultz; many other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the First United Methodist Church or Share Medical Center.
