The deadline to register artwork to display in the 20th annual Northwestern Oklahoma State University Art Society (NAS) Art Show in the J.W. Martin Library on March 5-31 will be here soon. Entry forms should be submitted no later than Feb. 22. Artwork should be delivered to the library on March 1 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Current Northwestern students and employees, retired university employees and alumni may enter two items in each of the 30 categories available for this year’s show.
Prize ribbons will be awarded to all students and non-students winning first through third place in all categories, along with Best of Show and People’s Choice. A $50 cash prize will be awarded to the student winning Best of Show, and the students placing first in a category will earn $10. “Please read through the descriptions and rules we have provided on the web page,” Case added. “That information should help artists prepare their entries.
“Paying special attention to the presentation of artwork is highly recommended as it could mean a difference in judging the piece, and it has,” Case added.
