Following the special city council meeting Monday, Jan. 30, the same members met as the Alva Utility Authority. Under discussion was a request for an easement to Michael S. Terrel, his successors and assigns.

Mayor Kelly Parker explained the land involved is just off Flynn Street and is part of the Alva Industrial Park. When the land was purchased, the legal documents did not declare easements for public use along roadways. Parker said, “That was never the intent.”
