When the Alva Goldbugs hosted Woodward Feb. 7, they got off to a slow start, trailing by 4 points in the first quarter, but Alva soon took control of the game and won 78-52. Monday night, Alva traveled to Woodward for a rescheduled game and a rematch with the Boomers. This time the Goldbugs were in top form, outscoring Woodward 19-6 in the first quarter and leading 37 to 15 at halftime. A blistering 27 points in the third quarter sealed the Alva win. The Boomers managed 21 points in the final period, but the Goldbugs won 75-48.
