Spicer honored for 50 years as voice of South Barber FFA Work Auction

• Auction and donations bring in $30,000

At the South Barber FFA Work Auction the officer team along with their FFA Chapter Advisor Tommy Hutson (who stayed out of the camera's view) sold for a whopping $4,250. When auctioneer and realtor Sam Spicer of Hazelton, Kansas, picked up the microphone to start the bidding for the South Barber FFA's Annual Work Auction last week it was his 50th year to be a part of the tradition.

Spicer's title should include comedian as he almost always has the crowd in stitches. As he auctions FFA members he often teases them – really elaborating on the funny comment about each member written by their name on the sale bill.
