Last week, Feb. 14, voters in the Waynoka School District approved a $7,865,000 bond proposition by a 67.58 percent vote. At least 60 percent was required to pass. A total of 221 votes were cast in favor of the proposition while 106 were against. Included were five absentee votes and three votes that were in favor of the proposition and six absentee votes against.

The bond will pay for 5,890 sq. ft. TSA/Science classroom addition, a track field, and a 12,750 sq. ft. indoor practice facility with dressing rooms, concession stand and equipment storage. The series bond is due to be paid off in...
