The Alva Ladybugs took care of business at Perry Thursday night, beating the Lady Maroons 47-29. The win in the first round regionals means the Alva girls will stay in the winners' bracket to meet Luther Saturday night with a 6 p.m. tipoff at Perry. Both Alva and Luther will advance to area.

Perry was first on the scoreboard with a triple from Makenna Justus, but Ladybug Carly Argo tied the game with a trey. That was the only time Perry led on the night. Alva edged Perry 16-11 at the end of the first quarter and increased their lead to 12 by halftime with a 25-13 score. The Alva girls added to their lead to hit 32-18 at the end of the third quarter and finished with the 47-29 final.

Lakin Gaddy had 16 points to lead the Ladybugs while Jaycee Kelln finished with 12.

Luther defeated Chisholm 54-43 Thursday night to advance to the regional final against the Ladybugs on Saturday.
