Donald A. Pierce, 74, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at Harry Hines Hospice in Wichita Kansas, surrounded by family. He was born February 14, 1949, in Alva, Oklahoma, the son of Burt and Leola (Mapes) Pierce. He was a painter for companies all his life until he retired.

He was first married to Marsha A Anderson. She preceded him in death on September 28, 2007, after 46 years of marriage. He married Karen Preston on July 14, 2012.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Burt and Leola Pierce; brother, Ernie Pierce; brother-in-law, Eddie Phillips; and grandson, Joshua Golbek.

He is survived by his wife Karen; daughter, Jeannie Rhodes and husband Les of Alva; son, Shad Cushenbery of Wichita, Kansas; son, Jimmy Pierce and wife Mary of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Sue Phillips of Arlington, Texas: and sister-in-law, Jan Pierce of Chandler, Oklahoma; two stepdaughters, Diana Dixon and Rebecca Barnard; thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life service for Donald A Pierce will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Red Barn, 11200 W. 37th Street N, Wichita KS, 67205.
