I have mixed emotions about recreational marijuana. It will bring millions of dollars of tax money to the state. If the money was used to care for drug-related problems, homeless people, the underprivileged, or even for education, it would be great.

You remember when horseracing and gambling money was going to save our education system. What the lawmakers did was just give the monies to education, then short the budget for education on their government funds, so nothing was gained.

I suspect our leaders already have their pet projects and graft spots in place for the new funds if it passes....
