Nelda June, daughter of the late Russell Good and Margerite Nelle (Sheddy) Elmore, was born June 19, 1932, on the family farm north of Alva and passed away March 20, 2023, at her home in Alva at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 1 day. She was raised on the family farm and attended school in Alva, graduating from Alva High School with the Class of 1950.

On January 14, 1951, Nelda married her high school sweetheart, Lynn Erban Heasley, at her home north of Alva. Together they had four children: John, Lynell, Julie, and Robert. They lived several places including Enid, Oklahoma; Abilene, Texas; Bedford, Texas; and Capron, Oklahoma before making their home in Alva in the early 1970s.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and also Delta Zeta, PEO, the Holly Club, Jolly Housewives Home Extension Club, and Q.T.'s (Quilting Tuesdays). She was a wonderful seamstress and quilter. She also enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, and doll making. Nelda was also an avid bird watcher. And, like every great Mom, would gladly take care of the many stray animals that her kids brought home. Let's remember – she had four kids. She had a great sense of humor and regardless of any joke she heard, she would compliment that joke with laughter – no matter how terrible the joke might have been.

Besides her parents, Russell and Nelle, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Simon; her brother-in-law, Dr. Bill Simon; grandson, Harlyn John Heasley; and nephew, David Simon.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lynn, of 72 years; her children, John Heasley and wife, Betsy, of Waukomis, Lynell Beierschmitt and husband, Jim, of Enid, Julie Heasley of Alva, and Robert Heasley and wife, Gloria, of Seguin, Texas; eight grandchildren, Amber Finley and husband, Eric, of Broken Arrow, Cory Honeyman of Enid, Jaci Tolbert and significant other, Al Hunt, of Enid, Jennifer Brown and significant other, Melcolm Martin, of Enid, Taylor Beierschmitt and wife, Kim, of Enid, Julie Beierschmitt- Flowers and husband, Justin, of Grapevine, Texas, Shelby Kugler and husband, Eli, of Glenwood, Iowa, and Michael Heasley and significant other, Chelsey Venegas, of San Antonio, Texas. Also surviving are twenty great grandchildren, Caitlin, Evan, and Jacob Finley, Kelcie Honeyman, Marcus Tolbert, Maris and Maredi Hunt, Tersah and Aniyah Turner, Journey Brown, Melauni Martin, Melcolm Martin, Jay'cean Martin, Bradey, Grant, and Lincoln Beierschmitt, Myles and Jaxon Flowers, and Abraham and Abigail Kugler; one great great grandchild, Finley Turley; many dear to her heart nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Share Medical Foundation.
