It took months of discussion and several special meetings recently for Kiowa's City Council to consider and ultimately change their property insurance provider. The council met Monday, March 27, for an approximately two-hour special meeting and then again Friday, March 31, for another hour-long meeting. This was a down-to-the-wire moment when the council had to take action before the April 1 renewal date for their property insurance.
