Supt. Argo cautions Alva Board of Education to expect lower revenue next year

 


Although the Alva Public Schools already see revenue above 90 percent of the estimate of needs in most accounts, Superintendent Tim Argo told the school board Monday that next year’s budget will be smaller. Gross production revenue is at 110 percent of what was expected, but he said that has been declining from earlier figures. In July, revenue was $140,000, but it has dropped to $102,000 in March. He anticipates next year’s collections will be less than this year.
