A day of work will take place on Saturday, April 22, at the Alva Community Garden, located behind The Homestead Retirement Community, from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers are needed to help prepare the raised garden beds for spring planting and to spread mulch in the garden area. Some lifting and physical activity will be required.
