Bob Furrow was born July 15, 1943, to Albert and Agnes Furrow in Alva, Oklahoma. He passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the Binger Nursing Home in Binger, Oklahoma, at the age of 79.

Bob graduated from Alva High School in 1961. In 1962 he married Carolyn Sue Beckwith. To their marriage three daughters were born, Sally, Carla and Julie Furrow.

In 1973 Bob moved to Enid, Oklahoma, to work in the oil and gas industry. He met Leona Robinson at the Cherokee Restaurant and they were married in 1975. He owned and operated BF Electronics in Hinton, Oklahoma, for ten years and worked at the Great Plains Correctional Facility in Hinton. Bob enjoyed working with electronics and just loved making things work. He had patented an automatic driller that was used in the oilfield and is still used today.

Bob was saved and baptized at the Bible Baptist Church in Enid and attended the First Baptist Church in Hinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Agnes Furrow; one daughter, Sally Logan; one grandson, Nickolas Sanborn, and one sister.

Bob is survived by his wife, Leona Furrow of Hinton; two daughters, Julie and Joey Melton of Alva, and Carla and Bill Sanborn of Cherokee, a son, Terry Furrow and wife Shiree of Hinton; grandchildren: Summer Whiteman, Gary Whiteman, April Schultz, and Josephine Melton, Emily Allen, Will Sanborn, Jake Sanborn, Colton Sanborn, Khristen McGlauphin, Cheyenne Logan, and Levi Logan, Breanna Rodgers, and Zander Furrow of Hinton; several great-grandchildren, two sisters, Pat Chambers of Enid and Wanda Rosenbaum of Wyoming; one nephew, and three nieces.

Services were held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Hinton, Oklahoma, with Reverend Dennis King officiating.

Burial was in the Hinton Cemetery, services entrusted to Turner Funeral Home, Hinton. Condolences may be sent to
