Burlington Public School Superintendent Brent Rousey said, “We need to find another $250,000 in savings” on the new gym project. He told the Burlington School Board of Education this at their April meeting.

Rousey also talked to the Newsgram after the board meeting. He received an itemized breakdown of the costs for the gym project. He believes there are still some savings to be made while keeping a high-quality result. Rousey said they await a list of value engineering possibilities from the architect and general contractor.
