The Alva Board of Education hired two new coaches during the regular meeting on Monday. Numerous resignations were also announced. Board members present for the meeting were Jane McDermott, Karen Koehn, Larry Parker and Kevin Pingelton. Shane Hansen was absent.

Jeremy Jones is the new head coach for the high school girls’ basketball team. Former head coach Kris Gore resigned. Jones will also fill the middle school alternative education position.
