Burlington School accepts resignations, hires new ag teacher

Construction projects ahead of schedule, money is in place

 


Burlington's Board of Education hired Addison Spicer as the new vocational agriculture teacher and FFA advisor at their May meeting. Spicer is reportedly from Fairview, an OSU graduate and just married. She was hired for the 2023-24 school year.

Spicer's hiring comes as longtime vo-ag teacher Wyatt Shaw resigned. The board thanked Shaw for his years of service – especially for navigating through the Covid-19 pandemic. In a housing update, Principal Spears said Spicer will live in the rented residence Shaw is leaving.
