Why knee?

 


Bipedalism: The ability to move around on two legs. It is a human trait extoled by our ancestors and passed down to the current species.

Walking on all fours gave way to the knuckle-dragging gait of the primates to the vertical stance we assume today. Bipedalism gave us the evolutionary edge, making us human along with hands, large brains, language, and according to an article in The Wall Street Journal, material culture.
