Alva Church of God

Alva Church of God is located at 517 9th St., in Alva. Sheryl White is our pastor.

Sunday: Normal hours are Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. with morning worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday evening youth meet at 5 p.m. This is for youth sixth grade through 12th grade. Young adults meet at 6 p.m. Sunday evening they will be showing "The Chosen" at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited and there will be refreshments.

Alva Friends Church

Please meet us for coffee and donut fellowship at 10:15 a.m. every Sunday morning. Worship is at 10:30 a.m. If you cannot make it in person, we are on Facebook at Alva Friends Church Group. The church is located at the corner of College Avenue and Center Street.

Barnes Street Church of Christ

Sunday worship services will be at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. (7 p.m. during daylight savings time). Visitors are most welcome to attend the worship services. For more information, contact Andrew Rhodes (327-3368) and Brian Gaddy (327-5130).

Bible Baptist Church

Sunday: On Sunday, Family Discipleship begins at 9:30 a.m. There are three graded classes for children, a teen class, and an adult Bible class. Join us for a time of learning and fellowship. Family Discipleship emphasizes family learning and provides the tools necessary to help parents teach the Bible to their children.

Our morning worship starts at 10:30 a.m. This morning we will begin our sermon series “Questions from the Savior.” We have a children's church from pre-K to third grade during our morning service.

Junior and Teen Impact meet at 5:30 p.m. This group is for students in fourth grade through high school.

Our Sunday evening service begins at 6 p.m. During this time, Wise Guys, a character-building and scripture memorization program for pre-K to third grade, will also meet.

On Wednesday, Celebrate Recovery and Refuel start at 6:30 p.m. Our prayer meeting and Bible study, will meet in Fellowship Hall. Celebrate Recovery will meet in the church auditorium. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based recovery program to help provide a safe place to discover a Savior who can give freedom from hang-ups, hurts and habits. Everyone is invited to attend.

Capron United Methodist Church

Cedar Grove Wesleyan Church

We are a country church that serves Christ and community with agape love. Come join us every Sunday for Sunday school at 10 a.m. Worship service will be at 11 a.m. Our worship service has a blend of contemporary and traditional music. The church is located 7 miles west of Alva, on U.S. Highway 64, turn north onto County Road 370, drive 10 miles to the S curve, then west onto Major Road. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Sacrament meeting (worship service) begins at 10 a.m. each Sunday. Visitors are always welcome to attend all church meetings. 

Sunday School and other meetings follow at 11 a.m. for all ages. The course of study this year is "Come Follow Me -- New Testament." You can find the weekly reading assignments and other materials for home study as well as the Sunday School lesson on the church's website: under the Library tab at the top of the page. A free download of the library materials is also available for cell phones. 

Youth groups meet Wednesday nights.

College Hill Church of Christ

The College Hill Church of Christ, 1102 College Blvd., Alva, is just east of the NWOSU campus. Sunday morning Bible class is at 9:30 a.m. with worship services at 10:30 a.m. A potluck lunch is scheduled every second Sunday of the month after the morning service. Wednesday night Bible classes are at 7 p.m.

Dacoma United Methodist Church

Everyone is welcome. Fellowship coffee and doughnuts are at 8:45 a.m. Worship service with Rev. Don Jones is at 9 a.m.

eXtreme Youth Center

The eXtreme, located at 425 College Ave. in Alva, is a ministry of Hopeton Church. Students in sixth through 12th grade are invited to come hang out, play games, work on homework and enjoy time with friends after school from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The eXtreme is available to rent for parties and events. Faith Center Alva

Faith Center Alva is a no-denominational church that is a branch of Faith Center Fellowship in Meno. The church meets on Sunday mornings at 10:30 and Wednesdays at 6 pm. Forge College ministry meets on Mondays at 5:30. Faith Center Alva is located at 324 College Ave.

First Assembly of God

Morning worship begins at 10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning. We currently do not have an evening service.

First Baptist Church

Sunday: Small groups gather at 9:15 a.m. Morning worship, with nursery provided, begins at 10:30 a.m. (Livestream is available for those who cannot attend in person.)

Tuesday: Noon Brown Bag Bible Study. Bring your lunch and enjoy the fellowship.

Wednesday: Youth (seventh grade and up) gather at 6 p.m.

First Christian Church

Sunday: Worship services will be at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. First Presbyterian Church

Nazarene Church

Donut and coffee fellowship is at 9:15 each Sunday morning, Bible study for ages 6 and up at 9:30, and worship begins at 10:30 a.m. Nursery is available for children under age 6 during worship. Missions lessons for ages 6 through fifth grade are held the second and fourth Sundays of the month.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church

The celebration of Holy Mass (Jesus in the Eucharist) is the source of our spiritual nourishment. Rev. Father Bala, Sagili Jesudas, is the parish priest (pastor) of Sacred Heart in Alva and its missions in Cherokee and Waynoka. You are welcome; be a part of the Sacred Heart Parish family.

Zion Lutheran Church

Please join us on Sundays for Sunday school and worship with us at Zion Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) at Third and Maple streets.
