Alva Ladybugs win regional playoff, advance to super regionals

Alva is hosting a regional fast pitch softball tournament this week. The Alva Ladybugs drew a bye in the first round before playing Davis at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The game was tied in the bottom of the seventh when Shelby Courtney hit a home run to center field. The Lady Wolves won 4-3.
The Ladybugs were on the scoreboard in the first inning with Jaycee Kelln hitting a double and Avery McMurphy walking to score one run each. Courtney homered to right field allowing Davis to tie the score at two in the bottom of the third.
