Alva High School celebrates homecoming this week

Alva High School will celebrate their fall homecoming this week beginning on Monday. The theme for the week is Welcome to the Jungle. Part of the celebration is the 100th year of the Goldbug as the school’s mascot. T-shirts will be on sale honoring the naming of the Goldbug mascot beginning 100 years of excellence.
All week Alva students are encouraged to participate in Homecoming Dress-Up Days. The theme for each day is:
Monday: Safari Day
Tuesday: Blast from the Past
Wednesday: Favorite Music Genre
Thursday: Career Day
Friday: Black and Gold
